Algebra

8A has completed the first two chapters in our textbook.  We are now doing a separate review and extension of "probability". The class then learned about how to write very large and very small numbers in scientific notation.  We also reviewed Venn diagrams and the practical ways in which they can be used.
Through a project, which students have almost completed, we continue to review skills previously learned.

We are also working on some election related topics, such as voting methods, and the history of the electoral college and how  math was used by the founding fathers to develop the way in which electoral college votes are apportioned.
