Welcome to Grades 5-8 Reading Teaching students to use critical thinking skills and enabling them to become proficient writers is the focus of the program. The classes are learning techniques to create various types of writing, such as: poetry, personal narratives point-of-view, persuasive writing, and writing to inform. Our curriculum includes the reading of additional literature books throughout the school year for the purpose of further enriching our students educational experiences. Students will also be working on monthly book reports that are completed independently at home. Encouraging your children to read will have a positive impact on their lives.
