As November and December approach, many math activities will be connected to holiday themes.  Students will be reading about the Pilgrims' journey to the New World and using math skills to answer questions about the journey. They will also be solving problems about cooking a Thanksgiving dinner as well as designing a turkey made entirely of triangles.
        During December they will become smart shoppers when it comes to reading store ads and figuring discounts.
