Fifth Grade Social Studies
The Fifth Grade will begin a wonderful journey through American History. We will begin reading our first biography of an historical figure and prepare the necessary materials to create a powerpoint presentation about this individual. In addition we will be working hard refreshing our knowledge of map skills while at the same time learning about different cultures of the world.
One of the many interesting projects the fifth grade will do is to complete a variety of webquests that will enhance their knowledge of American History through the use of technology. We will displaying our projects outside the library upon completion. Please take a moment to see them.
During the next few weeks we will be completing a webquest about early Americans. A rubric will be used for various projects and the group needs to follow the rules of the project. The project is a team project and all members of the team must have input.
