Media Center

The Robert L. Craig School Media Center provides the students of our school with the opportunity to gather resources whether through electronic or print media. Each class has been assigned a time which is set aside for them exclusively. Teachers provide their students time to find books to check out and then proceed to use the remaining time to use the technology to do various projects to supplement their curriculum. Use of the Internet is only available to students who have had the linkage agreement signed. This agreement was provided to each student at the beginning of the school year. Children in all grades are assigned a technology period in which teachers work on curriculum projects to enhance their classroom work. Keyboarding, writing through Inspiration and Kidspiration, presentations using powerpoint and drawing using Kid Pix are but some of the activities that are done during this time. This year we are fortunate enough to have brought in a wireless mobile lab consisting of twenty laptops. The teachers can bring the mobile lab into their rooms to work on technology projects when the Media Center is unavailable or when being in their own room is better served with the lesson being taught. Please feel free to contact me at the link below with any questions or concerns that you have.
