Mr. Keelen's Mission Statement

My central philosophy as an educator is that every student can rise to high expectations and has the potental to change the world for the better.

I bring an intense passion and enthusiasm for learning to the classroom every day, and I encourage each of my students to do the same.

I believe that each child needs to be a active particpant in their education in order to make true and deep connections to their lives. To this end I believe in the integration of the Arts, Music, Literature, Science, and Technology within my Social Studies curriculum.

My overall goal is that each pupil in my classroom leaves not only with a deeper appreciation and understanding of the importance, relevance, and impact of the events of humanity, but with a greater sense of their own character as well.

I am looking forward to another fantastic and engaging year filled with oppotunities for learning for both my students, and myself.
