THE SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PROGRAM

The Speech and Language program is for children who are not developing speech and/or language at the expected rate according to age. Speech or articulation is any sound substitution, omission or distortion which makes speech difficult to understand. For example, "wan for van" . or "tight for kite" There are many other speech errors that we could list. Some children have one or two errors, others have multiple errors. Generally, the more errors a child makes the more difficult it is to understand the child's conversation. Language is what the child understands or says . For example, when a child has difficulty following directions or with comprehension of language. Expressive language difficulty with grammar, vocabulary, putting words together, convesational skills, or written language The program also works with stuttering and voice disorders.
