Social Studies  

In Social Studies we will be learning about what being a good citizen is.  Social Studies is very interesting right now because we are studying about our community and the laws that keep us safe.  We are discussing why laws are created and why it is important for us to follow them.   Make sure you are following all the rules and laws of Moonachie because the children are watching very carefully.

I have learned a very interesting fact about my Second Grade  class and that is that they love to work with maps.  They arelearningto read maps as well  as create them.  So the next time you are in your car it would be wonderful for your child if you helped them follow your progress on a map.  

We have begun the year by studying the Constitution of The United States is and the freedoms it has given us.  We wrote our own class Bill Of Rights and discussed how we need to work together and respect one another in order to have a successful year.
