Welcome to the Moonachie Health Office. I am available for the health care needs of all the students.
HEALTH SCREENINGS Throughout the school year I conduct Health Screenings in such areas as vision, hearing, scoliossis, heights, weights, and blood pressure. If your child does not pass the screening, a referral letter will be sent home. Please make an appointment with your child's doctor as soon as possible and return the form to the Health Office. MEDICATIONS If your child should should require any medication durnig school hours, please contact me BEFORE sending the medication to school. Any medication, including Tylenol, cough drops or cough syrup, must have a written order by your child's doctor. There are MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FORMS located in my office for completion by the doctor and parent. HEALTH CLASSES In addition to taking care of the student's Health Care Needs, I also teach Health Classes for Grades 1-8. Health in Grades 1-4 are on a pass/fail basis. Grades 5-8 Health meet for one marking period, twice weekly. Grades 5-8 earn a letter grade. Students must earn a B to remain on the Honor Roll.
